  What are the CCDC Positions Relevant to the North Country?
Where do we stand as Democrats?

​

​1.    Politicians have no business dictating the limits of reproductive care for women, to include the highly personal decision to terminate any pregnancy.

​​

2.    “Common sense laws regarding the purchase, requirements, use and disposal of weapons should be adopted to help ensure they will only be used in a safe and responsible manner, without the need to confiscate weapons.”​

​

3.    Sustainable and appropriate spending, without the need to tax individual income, or through a sales tax, should be the goal of the New Hampshire General Court.

​​

4.    The Coös County Democrat Committee fully supports the LGBTQ Community, and stands in opposition to the hate (and ignorance) that exists currently in the North Country.

​​

5.    Affordable housing in the North Country is needed for both individuals and families, but is difficult in many towns due to self imposed limitations, planning, and zoning.

​​

6.    Adequate and appropriate industry is needed in the North Country, specific to the skills and resources available locally, to bring jobs that will provide a livable wage.
